The objective of this semi-technological WP is to ensure the achievement of diffraction-limited (WP1) for focusing the beam on a sub-micrometer spot (WP5). The technique consists in measuring, and correcting if necessary, the wave front of the soft x-ray beam (HHG or seeded soft x-ray laser) ARMINES has extensive experience in both soft x-ray wave front sensing and IR wave front correction and will take overall responsibility for this WP.
The developments achieved in WP3 will also serve for the improvement of the "reference wave front" beamline.
