Workpackage 1 : central part of the TUIXS project
This WP is the central part of the TUIXS project by his size and by the links with all other WPs
Results of the investigations done in WP1 will
oriented the works of other WPs. The modeling should allow performing virtual
experiments in order to progress quickly up to the final amplification chain.
The models developed through the TUIXS project will be benchmarked at different
levels of complexity ensuring the codes to be as close from reality as possible.
The experiments on the soft x-ray amplifying chain correspond to the second
part of WP1. We will start with improved gas amplifier before shifting to
solid amplifier from which we expect to extract about 0.1 to 1 mJ. The chain
will be set at ARMINES.
The chain development and metrology will include most of the participants.
IST has a high expertise
on massive modeling, on fundamental aspects of plasma physic and on soft x-ray
laser.
