"Femtosecond time-delay X-ray holography"
at
A TUIXS team is part of the first demonstration of Femtosecond time-delay X-ray holography.
The work, published by Nature Magazine, conveys the notion that X-ray flash imaging can be used to achieve high resolution holographic recording of structural changes in biological samples.
With the upcoming ultra-fast X-ray sources, this technic will enable to explore the three-dimensional dynamics of materials at the time-scale of atomic motion.

TUIXS success in femto-biology: TUIXS team part of first experimental
November 2006 at
The TUIXS team of Prof. Hajdu in Uppsala U., co-leading an international collaboration with Prof. Chapman from LLNL, made the first demonstration of the potential for single-cell diffraction imaging in a high-intensity VUV laser-solid interaction experiment at FLASH-DESY.
These results are one of the major goals of Workpackage 5 "Paving the way towards Femto-biology", and have been published in Nature Physics (H. Chapman et al, Nat. Phys., 2, 839, 2006 )
